it's not a bad thing actually. i enjoy it pretty much. one problem i have is the traveling time. it took so long if i decide not to take my dad's ride. and the worst is when i have to go home alone. i have take bus 96 to clementi mrt station, then change from green to red line.. that takes me 1h 15 min. if cheryl father decides to fetch us (zhangjie and me), and decides to sent zhang jie to her house first b4 sent me to mrt, that will take me 2 hrs to reach home... ha.. wow.. what a long journey.. it's the route is linear, i will be out of singapore already by the end of the 2 hr. even if my dad's free to fetch me home, tat doesnt mean problem solved- traffic jam at 5-7pm!!!

okay. i shall write about my project.. it's really fun!!

we are to cast gel on our own which we had done 4 times (failed twice and suceeded twice-not too bad for a beginner XD) the photo taken from internet shown above is what we use to prepare the gel. on the gel, we will run the proteins from the lysed cell via electrophoresis.

we done silver staining, protein transfer, protein estimation... wow...

oh.. protein estimation is the most fun one. zhangjie and cheryl are so KIND to make me do the estimation first, ALONE... alto i stood in the lab pipetting for more than 1hr (you can feel ur hands shaking near the end of the pipetting)., but i find it pretty interesting... hee when you can see the different colour change in different wells with different protein amt after adding coomasie plus assay... hee our analysed results look very funny....... heeehooohaaaa...

anyway, i like doing the project... everyone the lab are sooooo friendly.... except for one who i will not want to talk about.

it feels so grateful when ppl who are not involved in any bit of ur project offered to ans ur queries.. they are just like big sisters and brothers..

i think tat's because i am the only child, i never have had a chance to be the 'younger' one and being taken cared of. since i came to singapore, i have been the oldest or the older one among my level schoolmates. so, i am the big sis. i believe that's the reason why i love doing the project or i love to be in the lab (though i never told anyone so).

all the ppl in the lab are sort of experts in the field, they are all willing to teach you and guide you even when u have not asked them to. tat makes your day!

EXCEPT "TY"!!!

okay... TY should not be in lab tmr.. so yeah.. great day ahead!!! wonderful..

sichua 7.8 earthquake happened so suddenly..
i still rmb that day, i was at home infront of the TV with my parents. dad was watching cctv-4. and there's the news about the earthquake.. i didnot take it real seriously since there's only not more than 10 ppl reported dead at that moment. but then i realised it was actually quite serious.
i have been following the news these days. i saw photos of parents crying over their children's dead bodies. lots of students buried alive and found dead...
